Etymology
Orthographic borrowing from Japanese 天然呆(てんねんぼ)け (tennenboke). In Japanese, 惚(ぼ)け (boke) is used more than 呆(ぼ)け (boke), but to Chinese native speakers the latter seems more straightforward.
